The outpouring of the Holy Ghost upon more than 3,000 people, on the day of Pentecost, or fifty days after Passover, was a celebrated and pivotal event:

Holy Ghost Today!

Worshippers had gathered in Jerusalem for the celebration of PentecostThere they witnessed a spiritual experience of converts and their transformation. The Spirit of God inspired people, to spontaneously speak in the languages of visitors from many other foreign countries, to which they had never spoken before. In the 2nd Chapter of the book of Acts, there are clear references to people repenting of their sin Then being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins as Peter commandedThey then and there received the promised gift from the Book of Joel as Peter quoted.Peter stood up and preached on that day when the visitors had asked of him "Men and Brethren, What Must We Do to be Saved?" Act 2:38 KJV - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.Act 2:39 KJV - For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.

We now follow this same pattern for our own lives today, for the lives of our children and teach this to our children's children
